BD Fantasy
From Fantasy Golf Commissioner Marcus:Welcome to the second season of the BD Invitational Fantasy Golf
League (BDIFGL).
The Fantasy Golf League will allow you to pick and choose your
combination of exceptional athletes for each round of golf during the
BD Invitational, in an effort to win glorious cash and prizes.
This is how the League will work. All 27 golfers that are
participating in the BD Invitational this year will be classified
into one of 4 categories: A, B, C or D. Classifications are based solely on current posted handicap, and has nothing to do with how nice of a guy
you are, or alternatively, how far you can throw your putter after
missing a 12 inch putt.
You, as a Fantasy Team Manager, will choose one A golfer, one B
golfer, one C golfer and one D golfer to comprise your Fantasy Team
for each round of golf during the BD Invitational. You can only use
each A golfer once out of the 4 rounds played. Likewise, you can
only choose any B, C, or D golfer once. So you must choose wisely,
and make management decisions on who will play well at the varying
courses during our tour of Myrtle Beach.
Your team score will be the sum of the NET Scores (gross score, less
their handicap) of these 4 golfers each round, and then summed up for
the 4 rounds. The Fantasy Team manager that produces the lowest total net score after the 4 rounds will win the grand prize!
Initial Team selections will be made Sunday night during the opening
ceremonies of the BD Invitational. You may make all your selections
for the week at that time, or a wise manager would wait and see how
everybody is playing, and make their selections at dinner each of the
successive nights.
There is no cost to enter the League. You will simply need to create
a Fantasy Team name and properly make your selections for each round
of play. Prize money for the League is $75 for first place,, $50 for second place and $10 for third place.
